Another great way to get involved in the community is by joining the Babylon Town Chamber of Commerce. This group puts all of its efforts towards improving the businesses and economics of Babylon. Throwing a St. Patrick’s Day party and looking for inspiration? Don’t worry, the team at Babylon Honda has you covered. These easy, DIY St. Patrick’s Day decorations will make your party the most festive one on record.
Four-Leaf Clover Table Topper
It’s easy to turn some green card stock and some skewers into a miniature garden of four-leaf clovers. Cut out your fill of clovers, glue them to skewers, and then place them in a vase, bottle, or pot for a festive centerpiece.
Don’t just top your table with clovers—top your desserts with them too. Cut out clovers and attach to popsicle sticks, then insert into cupcakes or other treats.
Clover Goody Bags
Send your guests home with some goodies in a clover-shaped pouch. Cut thick green paper or fabric into clover shapes and glue or sew shut, leaving an opening where you can stash chocolate coins and colorful candies.
Some festive scrapbooking paper paired with colorful string can easily turn into a St. Patrick’s Day Banner. Cut triangles with the paper and decorate as you please, spelling out “Luck” or “Happy St. Patrick’s Day” or just painting each triangle with a clover. Attach the triangles to the string, and hang it proudly.
‘Tis the season of love. With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, why not defeat the winter blues with some DIY Valentine’s Day decorations? With fun projects like these, you can gussy up your home or office desk in a manner that would make Cupid proud.
Swap out your Yule-themed wreath in favor of a bright heart-shaped wreath made with artificial flowers from your local craft store. A wreath of warm colors will speak to your feelings for that special someone.
Hot Chocolate Bar
There’s no need to wait for that box of chocolates to enjoy some chocolatey goodness. Setting up a hot chocolate bar in your kitchen can warm the soul and the tummy when the February days get too cold.
Mason Jar Heart Votives
Candles are another great way to warm up the chilly winter vibes, or to create a romantic atmosphere. With materials like paint, glitter, and ribbon, you can paint heart-shaped windows onto mason jars for a sweet and festive candle holder.
Heart Cards Garland
If your fireplace is looking a little bare now that the stockings are put away, fear not. You can make an easy-yet-adorable garland to hang in their place using heart playing cards and red and pink ribbon. Happy decorating!
These are just a few ideas that you can utilize this Valentine’s Day, or for any occasion where you’re feeling the need to be romantic. Let your imagination—like your heart—run wild
If you want to make a New Year’s resolution, but are afraid of messing it up, you’re not alone. A lot of folks are unsure of how to keep a New Year’s resolution for the entire calendar year and beyond. In hopes of making 2018 a successful year, the team at Babylon Honda has picked our favorite tips for keeping resolutions.
Pick Something Realistic
One of the keys to keeping your resolution is picking the right one. You need to make your resolution meaningful to you, but you also need to word it in a way that sets up a specific, doable goal. For example, rather than saying you want to save money, pick a specific amount of money to save each month that’s based on your monthly earnings so that it’s realistic and achievable.
Make a Plan
To keep your resolution going strong all year, you’ll need to stay in touch with it. Make a plan for sticking to your intentions, whether that be checking in with a friend who can hold you accountable or keeping a journal about your progress.
No matter how far you may stray from your goals, remember that you can always get back on track. When it becomes hard to stay positive, turn to a friend for support. At the end of the year, you’ll feel good knowing that you continued your efforts and followed through, even if there were a few hurdles along the way.
These are just a few tips for staying on track with your New Year’s resolutions. If you’re resolving to buy a new Honda, then Babylon Honda can help you make that goal a reality.
