If you want to make a New Year’s resolution, but are afraid of messing it up, you’re not alone. A lot of folks are unsure of how to keep a New Year’s resolution for the entire calendar year and beyond. In hopes of making 2018 a successful year, the team at Babylon Honda has picked our favorite tips for keeping resolutions.
Pick Something Realistic
One of the keys to keeping your resolution is picking the right one. You need to make your resolution meaningful to you, but you also need to word it in a way that sets up a specific, doable goal. For example, rather than saying you want to save money, pick a specific amount of money to save each month that’s based on your monthly earnings so that it’s realistic and achievable.
Make a Plan
To keep your resolution going strong all year, you’ll need to stay in touch with it. Make a plan for sticking to your intentions, whether that be checking in with a friend who can hold you accountable or keeping a journal about your progress.
No matter how far you may stray from your goals, remember that you can always get back on track. When it becomes hard to stay positive, turn to a friend for support. At the end of the year, you’ll feel good knowing that you continued your efforts and followed through, even if there were a few hurdles along the way.
These are just a few tips for staying on track with your New Year’s resolutions. If you’re resolving to buy a new Honda, then Babylon Honda can help you make that goal a reality.
New Year’s Eve symbolizes a fresh start for many, which is why it’s important to celebrate the holiday in the right way. If you’re planning to throw a New Year’s Eve party this year, there are a few things you can do to make life a little easier.
According to Real Simple, drinks and snacks are a must. It may be best to create a diverse spread, including healthy options as well as more traditional snacks. For example, you can have chips and dip, shrimp cocktails, and quiches, but also provide carrot sticks, almonds, and olives for those who may want to start their resolutions to eat healthy early.
Next, have some games ready. Nothing kills a party like an awkward silence, so have some fun party games ready to go as icebreakers. You can write everyone’s resolution on a card and take turns guessing who wrote it, or you can also play a fill-in-the-blank game with resolutions to help get the ball rolling. The best games are the simple ones, so don’t overthink it.
Finally, get some tunes ready. While “Auld Lang Syne” is a classic, there are a few songs you may want to add to your playlist. These include “Happy New Year” by ABBA, “It’s Just Another New Year” by Barry Manilow, and “This is the New Year” by A Great Big World. These tunes will set the perfect mood for your next New Year’s Eve bash.

For two decades, the Honda CR-V has been setting high standards for the compact SUV segment. It’s small but spacious, flexible and versatile, and comfortable no matter which seat you’re in. At Babylon Honda, we’ve always thought that the Honda CR-V was one of the best family cars on the market. It’s the perfect alternative to a large SUV or a smaller sedan. This year, we learned that Kelley Blue Book voted chose the 2017 Honda CR-V as one of their 12 Best Family Cars of 2017.
The 2017 Honda CR-V has managed to hold onto all of the original standards with which is debuted 20 years ago, while also developing new and updated features and designs. There’s extra room inside of the new Honda CR-V, as well as a new turbocharged engine option available on higher trims. A roomy cabin and an efficient engine are two things that made the 2017 Honda CR-V stand out as one of the best family cars for KBB.com.
The 2017 Honda CR-V sees updates to its appearance as well as its technology, adding Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone compatibility. These types of gadgets and comforts are always important in family transportation, but perhaps not quite as important as safety. The 2017 Honda CR-V keeps many safety features from previous models, such as airbags and stability control. But what’s remarkable is the now-standard Honda Sensing safety suite, which features many active safety features that assist the driver in keeping passengers safe.
Between the comfortable, roomy interior, the intelligent in-cabin technology, the efficient engine options, and the new standard safety features, it’s no wonder KBB.com chose the Honda CR-V as one of their 12 Best Family Cars of 2017.
